The Graveyard Calls

(Gothic Blues)

Despite what some people might think ... this isnt a song about digging up an old love or even a new love. This isn't about Necrophilia. This is how me and Spooky met. In a Graveyard. Of course, after the song was done I relistened to it months later and thought ... "Wow, this sounds like a song about a Necrophiliac being drawn to a graveyard to retreive a dead body" Either way it works, but to me, the song was written about Spooky and I, Each line of the lyrics has special meaning to us, the great thing is I never had to explain any of it to her ... she understood each line the first time she heard it and at the end of the song, she knew exactly what it was about.
The Graveyard calls, my love waits there.

The Graveyard Calls, my love waits there, With smiling eyes, and soft dark hair.
I thought her lost, but there I found, Reunited at last, on hallow-ground.
Among the tombstones, an fields of green, In the land of the dead, I found my Queen.

Princess of the Moonlight, Queen of the Night.
Princess of the Moonlight, Queen of my Nights.

I thought her lost, but there I found, Reunited at last, on hallow-ground.
Time couldn't stop us, nor could the night, Fate can't be denied, even when we're just out of sight.

The Graveyard calls, my Love waits there,
With smiling eyes, and soft dark hair.
